The most authentic side of Venice, always fresh and different in every season, is to be found early in the morning among the stalls selling vegetables and fish at the Rialto market. The first to arrive, guided by Chef Micki, who leads the cooking school of the resort, are the pupils of our Sapori, a true culinary academy where you can learn to prepare a whole menu, ranging from the Venetian tradition, including cicchetti (to be studied first-hand at the best of the Venetian wine bars called bacari), to the great classics of Italian cuisine.
Choose among our two main cooking experiences: "Authentic Venice" (6 hrs.) or one of 2-hours afternoon classes.
In the school’s kitchen, located behind the Dispensa on the ground floor of the Hotel, pupils will find six cooking stations fitted with every accessory and above all a relaxed, warm and friendly atmosphere like that of the kitchens of old.
A small curiosity: the large table that holds the dishes of our guests was created by Matteo Thun, architect of the entire resort, out of the wood of an old Venetian briccola or dolphin.
